About Me

I am a Mobile, AL – based artist (by way of Chicago), whose multi-disciplinary work merges collecting, memory, history, found and remade objects and personal experiences to tell new stories.

I received her MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago and her BFA from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. My work has been shown at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, Winston-Salem University, Birmingham-Southern College and Art Chicago.

My work is included in numerous private and public collections and has been featured in notable publications and lecture series. In 2024, I received a grant from The Verdant Fund of Alabama and The Andy Warhol Foundation which allowed me to create the MMMOCA project.

My work centers on memory, history, and the lives often left out of conventional narratives. By reimagining found objects and creating personal archives, I explore how the stories of the past resonate within us today.

Since my reverse migration to the South, I’ve been drawn to spaces connected to African American heritage, especially sites where enslaved people lived and labored.

Working with organizations and plantations, I’m researching ways to create inclusive memorials that invite reflection, remembrance, and connection.

Through these projects, I aim to build spaces where histories become tangible and relatable, inviting all to engage with and honor these stories.
